It can be magical but only if you do the work to get it. You must start with an idea which has merit or value.</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">2 Decide what it is you want to do&hellip; what is the outcome? Do you have a clear picture of what it is you want to happen? How does that look? Have you written that down? It&rsquo;s a good idea to have something committed to paper. This is for you &ndash; so you get clear about what it is. You don&rsquo;t even have to show anyone else. So long as you are clear on what it is that you are seeking to do- what change you are seeking to make in the world.</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">3 Write a proposal. This is before you get to the figures. Sure figures help but write up how it is going to happen. It&rsquo;s a bit like writing down the outcome but in long form. Who will benefit? What will be the change for them? Those sorts of things The clearer you are &ndash; the more likely you can get others to help you with your plan.</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">4 There is always a way. If you truly believe what you have to offer &ndash; you can make it happen. I recall my university lecturer saying on &ldquo;project evaluation and decision analysis&rdquo; &ndash; do your sums and go with your gut feel. If the sums don&rsquo;t match your outcome &ndash; re vist your numbers. I think what he was saying is that if you truly believe in something &ndash; you will make it happen. You know the saying: &ldquo;Whether you believe you can or your believe you cant, either way you will be right.</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">6 Other people will help you. If you have a cause &ndash; and you have passion &ndash; others will want to help you realise that vision. You do need to be clear about what it is you are looking to achieve. If you are looking to do good in the world&hellip; people are generally good hearted I have found. We ran a number of fundraiser for children with special needs like my Imyjen at the local gyms. The gym managers were surprised at people who simply wanted to help&hellip;. Who would come in and tip out their purse or wallet on the counter. Make it big&hellip; make it bold&hellip;. But step up and do it!</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">5 Do your figures&hellip;. Do your figures&hellip;.. I cant say that loud enough! If you have figures, you have form. I have been successful getting projects off the ground without even applying for a grant&hellip;because I had some numbers&hellip;. No they were not complete. If you have some figures about what it was you want to achieve &ndash; you can make it happen. You may need to tweak those figures if something comes up to fit the brief&hellip;. Once you have the figures &hellip;. It falls into place a whole lot easier.</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">6 There is around $30Billion in grant money out there I have found since I began my research. Now that is serious cash! Its not hiding&hellip; it is out there. You just need to know where to look. And this is before we even think about sponsorships. I can help you look!</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">7 Grants come with specification&rsquo;s. According to Our Community &ndash; not responding to the specs in the grant application is one of the biggest reasons people and community groups do not get the grant they are seeking. It pays to respond to the specifications in the grant if you are serious about being successful.</font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><br /><span></span><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><font color="#000000">A grant is not always the way to go&hellip;.
